Gareth Stokes

Managing Director

Gareth is head of the General Accountancy Practice. Gareth qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, and specialises in providing corporate advice to owners of small and medium-sized companies, in a variety of business sectors.

Angela Trainor

Audit Director

Angie heads up the audit and accounts department. She qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1995 and manages a portfolio of company clients. In addition to her technical role, Angie has responsibility for the training and development of HJS Accountants’ staff.

Pete Sandhu

Business Development Director

Pete has an entrepreneurial flair with extensive hands-on experience and knowledge to help support, build and grow our clients’ businesses.

Mike Rule

Director

Mike qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and has been a Senior Partner in various firms since 1982 within Hampshire. Mike deals predominantly with owner-managed businesses, and specialises in helping with tax structures and tax planning. He has also been a Business Mentor for a number of his clients.

Kate Cooper

Director

Kate qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and worked in a top ten accountancy firm for eight years prior to joining HJS. She manages a diverse portfolio of clients and has a wealth of knowledge and experience with Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage Accounting packages.

Sarah Corbett

Sarah qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 and obtained the Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) in 2009 (via the experience route).

Sarah joined HJS in 2016 to enhance the Not for Profit sector. She looks after a diverse portfolio of clients from small owner managed businesses to medium and large groups. She is a Xero Certified Advisor and has extensive working knowledge of Sage and Quickbooks.
