Annual accounts

Auditing and accounts are the basic elements of accountancy: the number crunching. At hjs, we are excellent both at doing the numbers and at explaining what they mean!

No matter how you keep your accounting records, we can prepare your annual accounts. We have a number of different accounting software systems, so can normally transfer data without the need for time consuming & costly inputting.

Auditing

As with annual accounts, audits need to be completed efficiently and with the minimum of disruption. Audits are required for all larger companies, and in certain sectors for smaller businesses as well. We will provide a specialist audit team who will visit your premises to complete the necessary checks.

Assurance Service

Whilst a large number of businesses are no longer required by law to have an audit carried out, many business owners still want to enjoy the benefit of an independent review of their financial records.

An external, professional review, adds credibility for third parties (such as bankers) and also provides the business owner with the comfort of knowing that some independent checks have been carried out.

The Assurance Service is less stringent than a full audit (and therefore less costly). However, it involves more robust checks than the basic production of annual accounts, and it includes the production of a Report. At hjs, we have specially trained staff who undertake this service.

Tax Returns

Do you find your tax returns taxing? If so, we can help. Tax is a complex and constantly changing area, which is why we have professionals qualified in these matters.

We will plan and calculate any tax due, then prepare the tax return and schedules for you.
