Will reaches Paris for Naomi House
Will Baggs of hjs Recovery, completed the London to Paris charity bike ride in June – cycling a gruelling 320 miles over four days.
Will only took up cycling earlier this year, but was looking for a challenge, and joined 120 other cyclists – each raising money for their own chosen charity.
The first day got off to a bad start when Will’s bike had a puncture, and he was left behind by the group as they headed for the Dover – Calais Ferry. However, luckily he managed not to miss the boat, and the rest of the route was completed without incident !
Local charity Naomi House will receive the £1200 sponsorship money which Will was successful in raising.
Will said “I really enjoyed the four days, although I was a bit saddle-sore by the end ! The highlight was arriving at the Eiffel Tower, when all 120 of us rode the last stage as one big group. The atmosphere was fantastic, and made the whole event worthwhile.”
